German Presentation
The overseas trade fair programme of the Federal Republic of Germany covers trade fairs and exhibitions abroad where the Federal Republic will be participating. The institutions involved, Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV) act as organisers for trade fair participation projects enabling companies from Germany to take part at reasonable conditions.
Potential participants at planned events are selected on the basis of proposals launched by economic organisations involved in overseas trade as well as Germany’s international chambers of commerce and diplomatic representations abroad, participating federal ministries, and the AUMA. The BMWi overseas trade fair participation programme is discussed twice annually by the AUMA overseas trade fair participation workgroup. The members of this workgroup include German economic associations and umbrella organisations, the ministries responsible and a number of other federal government organisations.
